SIBELIUS  Violin Concerto in D Minor

SHOSTAKOVICH  Symphony No. 10

En route to their first collaboration – an electric reading of Jean Sibelius’ violin concerto – we join conductor (and Finnish compatriot) Klaus Mäkelä and violinist Nikolaj Szeps-Znaider as they drive to Severance Music Center. Mäkelä then leads the Orchestra in a thrilling version of Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 10.
