Radio Broadcast During WW II

This 1943 recording was taped from a broadcast featuring Arthur Loesser, just hours before he left to report for active duty in the military. The first clip is of the broadcast announcer explaining that Loesser will board a train immediately following the concert.

The second clip is from the Brahms Piano Concerto played by Loesser that evening. These wartime broadcasts reached thousands of people across the globe, including soldiers, by way of short wave radio.
